Sam Zadgan is a solo composer and performer. He draws upon influences from doom and death metal, drone and ambient noise as
well as Persian folk music.
Apart from guitar and the many effects that shape his sound, Sam also derives noises from a multitude of oscillator devices, synthesizers and samplers.
His music is an eclectic mix, which can be dark, jarring and at time meditative.

An invocation to memories set in a sense of melancholic familiarity; memories viewed through mildewed and frosted glass. But what resounds with me from repeat listening to the album is that despite its heavy grey oceanic skies, there is a sense that the sun might crack through at any moment shining joyous beams to illuminate some details of our melancholic obsessions. That we might actually dance with our sadness makes this a record that takes through introversion to its opposite.
